He arrived in Britain at 15 and built Seamark into a major seafood business with brands like Mr Prawn.

Iqbal Ahmed was born in Balaganj in Sylhet District and moved to the United Kingdom in 1971, at the age of 15. With his brothers he built Seamark Group, a seafood processing and food import business, and has led it as chief executive since 1992.

Its brands include Mr Prawn, and the company opened a sales office in the United States in 2001. The group also has interests in shipping and hotels.

He was appointed OBE in 2001 for services to international trade, and in 2014 he set up a school and college in Sylhet.
